Tonkin Liu is hiring a project architect to join its team in London.
Tonkin Liu is looking for a practical and experienced Part 2/3 candidate for our growing team. We would like the candidate to excel in detailing and construction knowledge and have a passion for architecture, art, storytelling, technical innovation and nature.
We are proud to have won a number of design competitions including the Notting Dale Heat Energy Centre, the York Minster Masons’ Quad and Tech Hub going to tender in January 2023 and Grosvenor Square Gardens, which was granted planning approval in 2022. Each project is a holistic entity integrating architecture, art, infrastructure and landscape. Other projects underway include a student housing project in Norwich, a multiple-unit mixed-use development in Hackney, Grays’ riverfront centre and park and, in collaboration with Weston Williamson and Nooma Studio, the Walthamstow town centre housing development framework across eight sites.
We are an innovative London-based architecture studio with a highly acclaimed portfolio of finely crafted buildings, landmark public sculptures and regenerative urban landscapes. We are the recipient of 21 RIBA Awards, the 2018 and 2021 Stephen Lawrence Prize and are a selected RIBA Role Model practice.
Required skills:
- superb organisational skills
- construction detailing experience
- advanced 2D and 3D draughtsmanship: Vectorworks preferred, Rhino required
- high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- ability to work imaginatively and rigorously, both independently and in a team
- fluency in written and verbal English
