Part 2 architectural assistant

HTA Design has an opportunity for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London and Edinburgh, UK.
HTA Design is an award winning practice of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, planners, graphic designers and sustainability specialists collaborating to design and deliver great places to live.
An exciting opportunity exists for talented and ambitious Part 2 architectural assistants to join our busy team and work on projects across the UK, to be located in our London and Edinburgh studios.
The role will involve working with our multi-disciplinary teams on one or more of our medium to large scale housing and mixed use projects in the UK.
To be considered, the successful candidate will have:
- Part 2 architecture qualification or overseas equivalent
- at least one year’s experience working within a UK based architectural practice
- a keen interest in housing design and a knowledge of UK design standards and statutory requirements
- demonstrable experience in residential projects
- knowledge of UK residential design and statutory requirements
- strong design, technical and presentation skills, demonstrated through a well presented and organised portfolio
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with people at all levels
- the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills
- a can-do attitude and commitment to own self development
- reliable with good timekeeping skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- excellent office administration and IT skills, with experience of using all or some of the following software packages is desirable: MS Office applications, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Lumion
