Senior designer/architect

Spacelab has a vacancy for a senior designer/architect to join its team in London.
We are an exploratory architectural design studio. We are looking for a highly creative and experienced senior architect/interior designer with five plus years’ experience to join us on a full time permanent basis to work on a range of prestigious and exciting projects.
Key responsibilities:
- taking projects from concept to completion
- running own projects varying in size up to £10 million
- presentations and workshops with clients to develop and evolve project brief
- responsible for generating, developing and implementing interior design concepts
- taking ownership for the project and presenting to potential or existing commercial clients
- site meetings and liaising with consultants
- work with a team, delegating tasks and providing support to other designers
- directing and overseeing the site deliverance to completion
Requirements:
- interior design or architecture degree
- a minimum of five years’ professional experience
- able to demonstrate experience of completed UK based projects
- good time management skills to meet multiple deadlines
- knowledge of finishes, materials, packages and details
- experience of FF&E selection, coordination and scheduling
- experience coordinating design with other consultants
- creative problem solving
- confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team –
- excellent communication and presentation skills and demonstrates confident client handling
- experience in construction and bespoke detailing and good knowledge of finishes and materials
- fluent in English, verbal and written
- proficient using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Revit and Vectorworks experience advantageous
- a working knowledge of UK building systems, regulations and construction methods
