Middleweight/senior interior designer
at Brace Studio
Brace Studio is looking for a middleweight or senior interior designer to join its team in London.
Brace Studio is an award-winning London based interior design studio working globally in the sectors of supermarket, retail, hospitality and dental surgery design.
We are looking for a highly competent and experienced senior or middleweight designer to join our talented team of eight in central London. The candidate will be capable of working on all project stages and managing projects, under the guidance of the senior team.
The position will initially be freelance with the opportunity to move to permanent, dependant on continued expansion.
Roles and responsibilities:
- work on projects across all design stages from concept to completion
- concept development
- feasibility layouts
- producing technical packages and detailed drawings
- research and specify suitable products and materials
- producing and delivering client facing presentations
- liaising with all involved (contractors, client, authorities) to ensure job success
- on-site supervision and project management
- managing statutory submissions
Required skills and experience:
- extensive experience and ability in the use of Vectorworks 2D and Photoshop
- ability to work within a team, independently and closely with the creative director
- work efficiently to tight deadlines and manage your own time effectively
- proven track record in retail, hospitality, or commercial design
- excellent ability in technical drawing packs and detail drawings
- good knowledge of finishes, materials and suppliers
