As a Senior Associate, and working in close partnership with our Regional Leader, Principals and team members you will advance opportunities to develop and strengthen Hassell’s profile in the Mainland China market.Â
Actively engaging with clients and developers, you will use your knowledge of architecture design trends and your local market insights to create strategies to grow and manage client relationships that drive the conversion of project opportunities.
Within the studio, you will actively contribute to the design culture at Hassell. Motivating and mentoring the next generation of designers, you will steward Hassell’s client focussed collaborative design processes to achieve design excellence to provide leadership, direction and knowledge input for the design and delivery of projects and managing project deliverables, programs and deadlines and developing the capability of the team.
About you
You are a recognised and established architect and knowledge leader with strong build experience and built portfolio, delivering complex Commercial and Mixed Use precincts in China’s Tier 1 cities. You have significant experience in a project director (or similar) role where you served as the trusted interface to your clients.
Because of your substantial prior involvement in delivering these projects, you are highly networked and regarded in the Mainland China market.
Your reputation as the face of a project plus your ability to design insight-lead engagement strategies will be instrumental in your ability to identify opportunities for client engagement/partnerships, lead business development pitches and build relationships with clients. You are an expert at identifying intelligence-building pathways to win and lead architectural commissions.
Ideally, you will have a depth of experience and skill contending in significant competitions in China. Through these, you have earned a reputation for contributing to knowledge leadership and research across the commercial and mixed use sectors – bringing together both strategic intelligence and creative design.Â
The extensive focus on client relationships make fluency in English and Mandarin language essential in this role.
