Middleweight interior designer
at Studio Duncalf

Studio Duncalf is looking for an experienced middleweight interior designer to join its team in London.

We are a tight-knit, London-based interior design studio delivering prestigious restaurant, hospitality, airport and F&B masterplanning projects in the UK and Europe.

Recent projects have included:

  • Bonnie & Wild, one of the UK’s leading food halls
  • Alchemist, one of Europe’s most iconic restaurants
  • the award-winning food hall at Copenhagen Airport
  • Flesh & Buns in London – an award finalist

We have a down to earth, light-hearted but hard-working environment. Team members are given autonomy and responsibility and are expected to be able manage their own projects.

You will be a key member of the team and you will have a degree in interior design and at least five years’ experience. You will be used to working on projects from conception to completion. Sound experience in the F&B and hospitality sector is very important. We will expect you to be proactive and work well as part of a team. You may also be looking to progress from a middleweight to a senior designer.

You will have:

  • strong creative skills
  • an outstanding ability to visualise your creative ideas, the ability to hand sketch will be highly very valuable
  • a great portfolio of work demonstrating creative design concepts
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • occasional travel in the UK and around Europe is likely and you must be eligible to work in the UK

Also very important are advanced skills in the following software:

  • Vectorworks
  • Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • SketchUp
