Design Eyewear Group is recruiting an apprentice eyewear designer in Essex, UK.
Design Eyewear Group is a global leader within independent design eyewear, and we are now looking for an apprentice designer to join our UK office in Hatfield Heath, Essex and become part of our global design team.
The role and responsibilities:
The role is based in our UK office north of London and as an apprentice eyewear designer you will be working alongside our UK design team to develop our British brands – William Morris and Charles Stone – as well as other brands in our portfolio together with the French and Danish design teams, based in Paris and at the Group HQ in Denmark.
You will be researching trends and creating concepts and designs to fit within our portfolio and you will specifically be working on shapes and models to fit a range of feminine and masculine collections across optical and sunglass ranges within each brand.
Your profile:
- you are keen and enthusiastic about product design with a passion for accessories and eyewear in particular
- you have a great eye for fashion, colour and style
- experience working with eyewear design is an advantage but not a requirement, as you will be working within a team of experienced eyewear designers
- skilled in sketching, design vision, concept ideation and development, experienced in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Rhino 3D
- it is important that you possess a proactive and collaborative mindset, as well as the desire to build results
- good in keeping track and thrives with working with deadlines
