Interior architectural designer

Mark + Poppy is looking for an interior-focused architectural designer to join its team in London.
Mark + Poppy is an emerging collaborative architecture and interior studio with a strong emphasis on craft. We place art and unique antique objects and furniture at the centre of all our designs. Our philosophy is that a space can be an expression of the joy of life. We strive to incorporate as many bio based materials as possible and are constantly learning and evolving. We are also currently in the process of introducing passive house standards to our projects. @markandpoppy
Skills and experience
- the right candidate will be a hands on individual, highly proficient in Vectorworks, Adobe suite and SketchUp
- you will be a key support to both the senior interior designer and architect across all stages of the design process, from initial concept through to completion
- you will be working alongside a range or tradespeople to deliver on one of our prestigious projects
- you will be able to answer a brief with the creative, technical and highly developed communication skills necessary to the role
- you must be flexible and willing to modify designs depending on client needs
- an undergraduate degree in interior architecture, interior design or architecture
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- experience managing client relationships and presentations
- ability to manage changing priorities
- ability to produce detailed AutoCAD drawings, schedules and specifications
- experience liaising with suppliers
- excellent project management skills
- you’ll be a hands on individual with a strong team work ethic
- must be Mac proficient
- good hand drawing and sketching skills would be useful
- fluent in written and spoken English
Position details:
This is a permanent, full time role, based in varied environments from remote to our Highgate studio to being present on site, you will also be asked to attend site visits, client and contractor meetings.
