Charles Edwards is hiring a Junior CAD designer to join its team in London.

A technical designer with an eye for detail is required to join an established and successful decorative lighting design house. The brand provides hand-made and bespoke fixtures to a high-profile international client base.

Essential skills, knowledge and responsibilities:

• more than two years’ experience in CAD design required
• excellent proficiency in parametric CAD software’s such as Inventor 3D
• experience using AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator
• experienced in producing high quality technical drawings and CAD files
• comfortable drawing product components and assemblies from real objects
• able to interact with the workshop production team to understand feedback and implement to drawing accordingly
• demonstrate excellent time-management skills and manage their own time across several projects concurrently
• able to work on initiative with a consultative approach
• ability to produce quick, high-quality work
• superb communication skills with a high level of spoken and written English
• commercially minded whilst having a creative flair and a strong visual sense
• must be a team player

Desirable skills and knowledge:

• understanding of manufacturing technologies, processes, techniques and installation procedures
• interest in high end and bespoke lighting

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm.

This role will be based at the workshop in SW19.
