Rachel Laxer Interiors is looking for a creative junior/mid-weight interior designer/architect to join its team in London or New York.

About us:

We deliver a bespoke design service to our clients across the UK, Europe and the United States working on high-end residential and commercial projects.

Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organised, well-presented, ready to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• create and edit plans and elevations using AutoCAD
• develop mood boards and presentations using InDesign
• source fabrics, order samples and select finishes for projects
• create workroom schedules and cost plans in Excel format
• support the design team with administration, planning and design tasks
• liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and building teams
• manage FF&E sourcing, specification, procurement and installation
• maintain and grow relationships with existing and new suppliers

Experience and qualifications required:

• minimum of two years of design experience
• proven ability to prepare detailed drawing packages and concept designs for review by senior designer
• strong communication skills, including verbal, written and visual
• high standard of both verbal and written English
• ability to work within a supportive team, proactively managing workload and project timelines

Skills required:

• AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and Excel
• knowledge of Estimac is preferable but not essential, as training will be provided
