London, UK
Account manager A&D/retail
at Hadeland Glassverk
Hadeland Glassverk is seeking an account manager A&D/retail to join its team in London.
The role is based within the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and will be a combination of inbound work within the showroom and outbound business development within the UK.
Hadeland Glassverk is a Norwegian manufacturer of outstanding, artisan glass, producing collections across, lighting, art glass and bespoke pieces. The company was founded in 1762 and is based in its original glassworks 1hr outside Oslo. As one of Norway’s oldest industrial companies, Hadeland keeps the art of glassblowing alive and is training a new generation of artisans to craft bespoke pieces for project specification alongside production of our existing lighting and object collections.
This is a new growth role, and as such, requires an individual who has existing contacts within both the contract and retail markets. You will have proven, existing relationships with A&D as well as the interior design community, with the intention of generating new project opportunities. In addition you will have a retail reach, knowing which businesses are best placed to partner with Hadeland in terms of selling our lighting collections. We will support you, ensuring you have the tools and resources required to enable you to deliver sales.
You are comfortable presenting outbound to dealers, architects and designers, as well hosting specifiers and key decision makers within the showroom context. You are an exemplary communicator with a high aesthetic and you are commercially driven.
Perhaps you are an existing showroom manager who owns the relationships and wants to develop a sales career. Or indeed you may be in an existing sales role within lighting or contract furniture and have a desire to work with an artisan brand where you have more autonomy to craft your pitch.
Either way, Hadeland is a unique manufacturer and with an beautiful London showroom, you have a base from which to tell the story of our glassblowing history.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- sales and new business development within contract and retail across the design community, using your contacts as well as prospecting for new customers to optimise our distribution
- creating visuals as required to support showroom client enquiries
- sales reporting on activity
- regular presentations to A&D and ID both inbound using the London showroom and outbound at studios and within retail stores
- good housekeeping within the showroom, ensuring the space is always welcoming and showcases the current collections in the best way possible
- any Photoshop and layout skills would be an advantage
