SCP Contacts is looking for an account manager to join its team in London.
SCP is a successful and growing brand, retailer and procurement consultant based in Shoreditch, London. We are looking for an account manager to join our busy contract sales team.
SCP Contracts is an established company in the design industry having worked directly with architects and interior designers for 28 years, specifying furniture for workplace, hospitality and high-end residential projects. From hotels to houses, we take pride in offering a balanced, thoughtful and creative approach in our projects. We advise, consult and procure furniture while also liaising and maintaining strong supplier rapports. We are a close-knit team of individuals with exceptional product knowledge and have an extensive understanding of design and furniture manufacturing.
The role:
Candidates will need to have previous experience within contract furniture industry and must have a strong understanding of furniture, design and how best to service our current and new potential clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, in addition to having a proven track record of successful projects within residential, hospitality and or workplace sectors.
Our requirements:
- at least three years’ experience working in A&D sales or account management within the furniture industry
- sales, goal and target oriented with the ability to continue to build new client relationships
- design consultant abilities, understand value of your furniture knowledge and create packages from our key brand partners
- provide excellent service to given accounts while attracting new business
- use your product knowledge and sales skills to attract new business and retain our existing accounts, primarily through relationships with designers and architects
- networking through A&D practices to raise awareness and highlight opportunities
- self-motivated but can work well within a team
- ability to communicate our services effectively with interior designers, architects and our manufacturing brand partners
- participate in company events/promotions and marketing, host small groups of designers in the showroom and attend our company arranged events
Practical skills:
- proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- strong communication and project management skills
- strong initiative and problem-solving skills
- proven track record of sales excellence within a team
- strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
