Richard Griffiths Architects is looking for a Part 2/ 3 architect to join its team in London.
Richard Griffiths Architects is a RIBA award-winning practice, which this year is celebrating its 30th anniversary specialising in the sustainable re-use, adaption and repair of existing buildings.
Our work covers various scales up to £25M and are often associated with listed buildings and their context.
We are looking to recruit a Part 2 architectural assistant /recently qualified post-Part 3 architect with an existing interest in this field.
Requirements for the position are:
- professional degree in architecture or qualified architect registered with the ARB
- familiarity with building codes and regulations
- management skills including writing meeting agendas and minutes
- the candidate will need demonstrate that they have undertaken additional study in the area of heritage/conservation – either through the SPAB scholarship scheme or through another UK recognised conservation accreditation or gathered through previous project experience
- site experience and construction knowledge at RIBA stage 4-7
- knowledge of traditional construction detailing methods and/or building conservation
- proficient knowledge in Autocad LT and Adobe products
- an ability to work collaboratively in a small team and independently
- excellent communication and presentation skills within and outside the office
The offer is for an initial 12 month period, which following review, would likely be extended. Salary to be reviewed at interview based on the level of experience of the candidate. The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and would require office attendance in person four days per week.
