We are currently seeking a talented and passionate furniture designer to join our creative team. As a furniture designer at Peter Mikic Interiors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and creating bespoke furniture pieces that perfectly complement our interior designs. Your exceptional design skills, technical expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the realisation of our clients’ visions.
Responsibilities:
- collaborate closely with the design team to understand project requirements and develop furniture concepts that align with the overall design vision
- create detailed furniture drawings, specifications, and 3D visualisations using industry-standard software and tools
- source and select appropriate materials, finishes and fabrics for furniture pieces
- liaise with suppliers, craftsmen, and manufacturers to ensure the accurate execution and production of furniture designs
- oversee the manufacturing and installation process to ensure the highest level of quality and craftsmanship
- stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging materials and innovative furniture design techniques
Requirements:
- proven experience as a furniture designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design projects
- proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- in-depth knowledge of furniture design principles, materials and manufacturing processes
- strong conceptualisation and visualisation skills
- excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team environment
- attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional design solutions
