YARD Architects is looking for a talented recently qualified architect to join its studio in London.
The practice works on private residential projects across London with an emphasis on design, detailing and materiality. We aim to deliver carefully crafted buildings combined with an excellent standard of service for our clients. We have numerous projects at all RIBA stages and are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious architect to join our team. You will enjoy a role which offers plenty of site involvement on live projects, responsibility for managing assistants in the studio and fantastic opportunities to get involved in directly shaping and delivering high-quality projects for our clients.
Successful applicants will have all of the following skills:
- excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp
- demonstration of experience with domestic scale projects in the UK across all stages
- experience of contract admin at Stage 5 will be an advantage
- be confident, well organised and able to project manage
- deal with numerous consultants, suppliers and contractors
- excellent design skills and graphic ability
- strong technical ability and knowledge of the building regulations
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ARB registered
The role will be full-time and predominantly office based in our studio in Southwark. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. YARD Architects is an equal opportunity employer.
