Job overview
We are looking for an experienced interior designer to join our growing team, with around five to six years of experience working on high-end residential projects in the UK. As a design and build firm, we offer a versatile and exciting opportunity for our designers in running and delivering some exceptional super prime residential projects from concept to installation. Experience in latter stages of design on-site at a high-end level with an understanding of detail design implication would be ideal.
This is a full-time position based at our studio in North London.
Duties and responsibilities:
- reporting to the head of design and working in a team with other designers and architects
- working on multiple projects from concept development to installation and styling
- preparing detailed and accurate drawings, designs, plans and schemes, along with producing technical drawings and tender packages
- producing comprehensive mood boards for presentations to clients
- sourcing, scheduling and specifying furniture, fittings and materials from a range of sources and for a range of budgets
- managing the selection, budgeting, scheduling and procurement of FF&E
- liaising with suppliers, project managers and subcontractors for design realisation
- on-site project management and project coordination experience with contractors and other parties
Required skills and experience:
- degree in interior design or architecture
- five to six years experience as an interior designer in high-end luxury residential or commercial projects
- experience in coordinating interior fit-out schemes
- in-depth knowledge of FF&E procurement and procedures
- fluent in both written and spoken English with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- highly motivated and passionate about design with a can-do positive attitude
- ownership of your work and contribution to the team
- capable of working in a pressured environment with the ability to work to deadlines
- proficient in AutoCAD/CorelCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software packages
- EstiPC/EstiMAC experience preferred
- MEP integration to design preferred
