We are seeking a senior design architect/manager for our office in Los Angeles to support complex residential and hospitality projects in remarkable settings.
Primary responsibilities:
- lead the design and development of resorts, museums and high-end residential projects from concept to completion
- collaborate with a team of architects, designers and engineers to create unique and visionary architectural designs
- ensure that projects adhere to industry standards, regulations and best practices
- provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and interns
- conduct thorough research and analysis to inform design decisions and incorporate innovative technologies and sustainable practices
- oversee construction documentation, including drawings, specifications and project schedules
- coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
- participate in client presentations and maintain effective communication throughout the design process
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- proficient in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp
- in-depth knowledge of architectural principles, building codes and construction methods
- excellent conceptual design and visualisation skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics
- effective communication and leadership abilities to foster collaboration within a team
- strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
- minimum eight to ten years of experience as a practising architect, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- demonstrated experience in working on resorts, museums or high-end residential projects.
