Gort Scott is hiring a Revit architect/Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Gort Scott is looking for a strong Revit architect or Part 2 architectural assistant to join us at Stage 4 on a complex housing project. We are initially offering a six-month fixed-term contract with a view to the role becoming permanent. Ideally, you would be able to start immediately. Technical design experience is essential and site experience is desirable. Housing experience is an advantage, although not essential.

Key responsibilities:
- work as part of a project team on the technical production information and coordination of a new-build housing development
- attend design team, client and consultant meetings as required
- manage and carry out the detailed design, drawing packages and detailed specifications of the project
- review, comment on and coordinate input from the client, project team members and other consultants
- liaise with the internal project team day-to-day and ensure deadlines are met
- ensure actions that arise are followed through
- ensure digital and hard copy files are maintained in the correct way and the project team is following practice/project procedures in line with the quality management system
- perform roles and responsibilities in relation to the practice’s quality management system, environmental management system and H&S/CDM policy, ensuring compliance at all times
Skills and abilities
Experience and qualifications:
- either qualified Part 3 architect or experienced Part 2 architectural assistant
- proven experience and knowledge of technical design stage essential
- excellent knowledge of detailing essential
- housing experience desirable
- site experience desirable
Skills:
- forges strong relationships with clients, consultant teams and contractors, fostering collaboration
- excellent design and technical skills and attention to detail
- excellent project management, planning and organisational skills
- proactive approach to working either as part of a team or on your own, capable to take the initiative
- good communication skills, including good written skills for the purpose of reports and presentations
- interest and experience in housing projects an advantage, but not essential
- fluency in speaking and writing English essential
IT and software:
- highly IT literate
- high level of proficiency in Revit and experience working in a BIM environment, ideally knowledge of BIM Level 2
- use and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
- familiarity with Vectorworks ideal but not essential
- use and knowledge of NBS an advantage but not essential

Our salary offer is £33,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
