Part 2 architectural assistant/architectural technologist

Chirag Desai Architects is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant/architectural technologist to join its team in London.
We are looking for a creative and talented architectural technologist with a good understanding of construction methods and technical detailing or a Part 2 architectural assistant with one year’s experience.
Our current projects cover residential projects across London for a variety of private clients. As a practice, we work in Vectorworks, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite therefore proficiency and familiarity with the software will be required.
By joining our team, you will be responsible for the production of technical drawings, details and BIM coordination through Vectorworks. You will gain on-site experience across our exciting projects where you will collaborate with consultants and contractors in delivering bespoke and unique residential projects. By joining our practice you will also be involved in client interactions across our projects.
Other responsibilities include ensuring design proposals comply with planning policies, applying technical standards, preparing detailed design drawings, managing planning applications and building regulations processes.
About you
We encourage applications from highly motivated, detail-oriented young professionals with one to two years experience with the following skills:
- proficiency with Vectorworks, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite is a fundamental requirement
- technical design experience in a private practice
- knowledge and experience with drafting construction details for residential purposes
- visualisation experience using Enscape or other 3D rendering tools
- ability to effectively express ideas orally, graphically and in writing
- knowledge of UK building regulations
- meticulous attention to detail and the ability to pivot between different projects to meet tight deadlines
