Galmstrup Architects is hiring an architect to join its team in London.
We are recruiting for an architect with experience in project management and with a minimum of ten years of experience from practice.
About the role
Working from our Hackney studio, the architect will work predominantly with strategic planning and management of cultural and masterplan projects. You will work closely with our director developing, producing, managing and following up with the project team, collaborators and clients. We are looking for someone who has an all-round experience and technical knowledge as well as an interest in research and processes. We are seeking a person who is self-motivated and structured and wants to be part of a small growing practice.

Galmstrup Architects is a design-led architecture practice specialised in cultural and community projects. Our projects vary in scale and range from design and construction of cultural venues and community centres to exhibition design and masterplanning. We are a small and growing practice with an open and informal working environment and high professional standards and ambition.
Essential skills/knowledge:
- ARB registered and with minimum ten years experience in practice
- experience running jobs across all RIBA stages – ideally civic projects
- excellent communication and coordination skills
- ability to multitask and work across several projects concurrently
- have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good problem solver and proactive nature
- curious and have and positive attitude
- competent CAD user – ideally MicroStation
- competent Word, Excel and Adobe user
- fluent spoken and written English
- eligible to work in the UK
