Mid-weight interior designer

Godrich Interiors is hiring a mid-weight interior designer to join its team on a full-time basis in London.
This role is office-based at our London Bridge studio and the salary will depend on experience.
Job description
We are a London-based interior architecture and interior design studio working in the high-end residential market. We provide dynamic style, unfettered by fleeting trends. The role (and our team) is studio-based.
Reporting to the directors, you will provide spatial and technical design drawings. FF&E and accessories schemes from conception through to installation, including scheming, sourcing, budgeting and procurement.
The ideal candidate must have:
- a degree, diploma or equivalent in interior design
- four-plus years post-graduate experience with a minimum of three years in the residential sector; preferably high end
- full proficiency Vectorworks (preferred) or AutoCAD; we do not require 3D
- technical drawing proficiency in creating various plans, elevations and detail drawings
- experience on site with various consultants and contractors with a willingness to understand and solve problems
- knowledge of the Microsoft suite
- broad knowledge of FF&E suppliers, products and trade costs
- financial understanding of project costs and budget awareness
- impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written; must be fluent in spoken and written English

The role breakdown:
- liaising with directors and team to define their vision and understanding their preferences
- developing and producing detailed conceptual design presentations
- producing technical drawings and tender packages in Vectorworks
- producing well-thought through design intent drawings for joinery and FF&E items
- designing and specifying interior detailing such as doors, skirting, ironmongery, cornices, etc
- designing kitchens and bathrooms and sourcing finishes and fixtures
- developing detailed design schemes including the selection of materials and finishes
- preparing and developing detailed presentations, drawings, materials and other documents relating to the FF&E design
- building and maintaining good supplier and contractor relationships to ensure projects are delivered to studio standard
- designing, sourcing and procuring bespoke joinery and FF&E design, reviewing technical drawings supplied by others
- managing the design and procurement process, liaising with manufacturers and suppliers from concept through to completion, ensuring that client project deadlines are met
- preparing FF&E project procurement programmes
- managing FF&E, accessories and art inventories and budgets
- managing and coordinating FF&E installation with installation specialists
- attending site meetings
