An opportunity has arisen to join SNHA as a project lead. We are looking for someone with a qualification in architecture, relevant experience in the architectural/construction industry and in managing teams as well as excellent Revit skills.
The project lead will be someone who wants to further develop their leadership abilities and technical skills in architecture. The project lead is someone who loves learning and can lead a team working against deadlines. You should have great communication and organisation skills. Our projects are multidisciplinary and you will have the opportunity of contacting and learning from different specialities and clients.
As a project lead your main responsibilities will be to:
- lead the team in the layout of projects and integrate architectural and engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval
- lead the team in the preparation of scale drawings, specifications and contract documents, for building contractors
- lead the team in identifying technical solutions to problems and show understanding of good design principles, including researching alternative products or solutions and comparing performance, cost, warranty and other similar attributes to assist colleagues at all levels with decisions
- demonstrate the ability to supervise medium to large teams in the completion of project documents
- work closely with colleagues at all levels to meet internal design, technical and software quality goals
- manage the team’s time and effort ensuring the timely completion of assigned work
- consult with clients to determine functional and spatial design requirements
- direct the administration of construction documents and provide periodic onsite observation of work during construction to monitor specification compliance
- understand project scope and fee limitations and identify potential out of scope requests for services and collaborate with wider leadership team in the development of bid proposals
- instil confidence in the team by presenting a positive approach to daily tasks and challenges and provide clear direction to project staff
- attend and lead client meetings and presentations
