New business coordinator – maternity cover
at Morris + Company

Morris+Company is seeking a new business coordinator for a maternity cover to join its team in London.

The main duties of the new business coordinator role are set out below. This is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties within the studio may be required. It is important that the job holder recognises this and adopts a flexible approach to the role.

This role reports to the associate director – Alex Gordon.

The Salary is dependant on the skill set and experience.

Role requirements

New business management:

  • searching and sourcing new work leads using relevant sources, such as, online tender portals, AJ, competition websites and others
  • management of the bid/PQQ/ITT process, deadlines and submissions
  • management of framework portals, submissions and on-going communications
  • tracking new business opportunities and logging each one into CMAP (our project management platform)
  • management of the ‘new business tracker’
  • creating new business opportunity summaries and ‘client crib sheets’
  • creating new business summary for presentation at bi-weekly ‘MMM’ practice update meetings
  • presentation of a synopsis of each bid/potential new project for review and discussion on a frequent (minimum weekly) basis
  • managing and coordinating other consultants’ contributions to submission documents to ensure timely completion
  • creation and development of bid submissions, in close liaison with the new business team
  • recording and auditing all bid clarifications, and requesting and analysing feedback

Administration:

  • project creation setup and closure in CMAP (our project management platform)
  • preparation of CMAP reports to assist in the quarterly review process
  • organising, minuting and actioning weekly new business meeting
  • updating the ‘go-no-go’ spreadsheet in conjunction with the new business team prior to each weekly new business meeting
  • maintenance of the consultants’ comparison spreadsheet, keeping an up-to-date log of team information, CVs, lessons learnt etc
  • maintenance of the ‘bid response database’ to keep an up-to-date record of all bid submissions/questions/answers/themes previously covered
  • maintenance of the new business ‘templates’ including capability statements, case studies, project key information, CVs, B2B presentations, pitch deck, sector packs, project packs and press packs
  • maintenance of the strategic new business programme in conjunction with the new business team

Skills required:

  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • highly organised and calm under pressure
  • excellent command of the written and verbal English language
  • proven self-starter – able to work independently with a proactive attitude
  • excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams
