BD coordinator

Weston Williamson + Partners is looking for a BD and Bid coordinator to join its growing London or Manchester studios.
The role involves helping manage our pipeline of some of the world’s highest profile infrastructure and masterplanning projects.
We are an award winning, international architectural and urban design studio. Our ethos of working collaboratively to create and connect sustainable places for people and influence the many sectors we specialise in which include the creation of innovative transport infrastructure, high-quality residential and mixed-use spaces.
Our studio is structured to facilitate a culture of innovation and exemplary design whilst building upon our 35 years of experience, to deliver successful projects.
A position is available in our business development team with great opportunities for growth and professional development.
Reporting to the bid manager and supporting sector leads you will be involved in all aspects of business development supporting the global activity of the practice.
Day to day tasks will include:
- maintaining BD and bid library including CVs, sample answers, project information, project images and best practice bids
- maintaining our client relationships management systems, ensuring accurate information is added and preparing monthly and quarterly reports
- managing the bid inbox, reviewing opportunities, providing summaries to lead the decision to bid process and supporting with bid clarifications
- maintaining our portal accounts, ensuring they are up to date and compliant
- supporting the UK bid manager in the production of tender responses from initial bid go/no go process to final submission
- managing bid feedback database, bid tracker and sub-consultant directory
- undertaking research into client and business opportunities using online sources
- coordinating internal and external meeting and appointments
- managing the Know You Customer (KYC) process for bid opportunities, including assessment of client and sub-consultants
Essential skills and experience:
- one-plus years of experience within a similar role, with a comprehensive knowledge of public procurement portals
- excellent research skills and ability to summarise documents
- proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- interest in architecture and design
- organised with good time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- good literacy and numeracy skills
- ability to multitask and work towards tight deadlines
