Kelly Behun Studio is hiring a senior interior designer to join its team in New York.
AD100 and Elle Decor A-List interior design firm, Kelly Behun Studio, is seeking an intermediate interior designer with three-plus years of relevant work experience in high-end residential interiors for full-time employment.
Candidates should have a strong background in high-end interior design and be capable of working efficiently under deadlines. All applicants should be highly organised, detail-oriented, self-starters who are flexible to work on a variety of projects. Applicants must have strong communication skills in order to work well within a team setting but also have enough experience and drive to work autonomously.
The ideal candidate will:
- possess advanced skills in Adobe Suite programmes (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D software programmes (AutoCAD, Sketchup and V-ray and/or Rhino)
- have proven experience handling the purchasing process and invoicing, including studio designer (or comparable programme)
- be comfortable in preparing client presentations, mood boards and space planning
- have experience designing and drawing custom millwork, furniture and lighting
- possess a keen eye for FF&E sourcing and a deep knowledge of contemporary, vintage and antique furniture, art and design
- be comfortable working in all areas of design (presentations, purchasing, concept design, project management, installations, etc)
- have excellent design, organisation, communication skills and attention to detail
Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must be either a US citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the US and be presently located in the New York City area. Candidates who do not meet all of the above qualifications will not be considered.
