German speaking architect
at Tikari Works
Tikari Works is looking for a German-speaking architectural assistant to join its award-winning London-based studio.
With a growing workload in Switzerland, we have an immediate need for an architectural assistant to support on residential and commercial projects. The projects range from single-family houses to larger high-spec residential fit outs and commercial premises. Working alongside the company director you will be required to develop design ideas, prepare technical details for construction, and coordinate with the Zurich-based consultant teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Swiss technical standards, excellent design skills, and most importantly a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to think dynamically, take responsibility and solve problems.
Tikari Works is an unconventional architecture and property development company based near London Bridge. The office’s unique business structure provides a platform for experimentation beyond the scope of the traditional practice, with the aim of engaging the built environment in a way that is rigorously analytical, soulful, and sustainable.
Key requirements:
- native or fluent German speaker essential
- previous work experience in German-speaking country highly desirable
- passionate designer with a strong interest in making and construction
- portfolio demonstrating good technical and design skills
- minimum of two years’ work experience
- proficient with a range of 2D and 3D software
- knowledge of Microstation 2D is highly desirable
- well organised with good time-management skills
- UK right to work mandatory
