The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, proactive and creative content and bid writer to join a dynamic architecture and urban design practice working from our design studio in Greenwich.

You will be responsible for researching, coordinating and producing high-quality written material including text for bid submissions, thought leadership articles, website content, social media and external publications.

Reporting to the senior marketing and bids manager, you will be an integral member of the marketing and bids team, generating new ideas and contributing to the wider marketing strategy. You will be working with architectural design groups across the practice and will need to be able to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines, have excellent communication and teamwork skills and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Essential:

  • track record of crafting compelling written submissions
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to process accurate work to strict deadlines
  • highly proficient in spoken and written English with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • able to tailor content and messaging to different audiences
  • confident with developing technical information into persuasive and engaging written material that addresses key requirements
  • knowledge of bid writing within the architecture or construction industry.
    Strong organisational skills
  • proficient in Adobe CC software, specifically InDesign
  • confident and adept with MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • able to work with existing brand guidelines and graphic processes, and offer constructive advice on improving the quality of output

Desirable:

  • experience using WordPress
  • experience using Mailchimp
  • experience in creating engaging social media content
  • knowledge of graphic design principles and techniques
  • keen interest in the built environment
  • critical visual eye and an ability to interpret architectural material

A salary between £35K and £40K, dependent on experience and pension.
