Senior associate
at Cowen+Partners

Cowen+Partners is hiring a senior associate to join its team in London.

Cowen+Partners is looking to recruit a senior associate to join our award-winning, multi-home and mixed-use, project teams. We specialise in design quality, efficient and viable design, working with multi-disciplinary teams in a highly organised BIM environment. Covering many of the living sectors, successful candidates can expect to work across exciting new built-to-rent, for sale, co-living and adaptive re-use projects.

The successful candidate would need to be able to present ideas, think rationally, and engage with clients and contractors. Collaboration is key to our success and so the ability to work productively as part of a team and independently is essential. Candidates should be highly motivated, with excellent communication and organisational skills in addition to excellent design focus, an eye for detail and a desire to develop their role within the practice.

The right candidate will have the following combination of skills and experience:

  • ten plus years’ post-qualification experience
  • experience working on multi-unit residential projects, ideally in London, is essential
  • experience of working at post-planning stages is required
  • excellent knowledge of building standards
  • excellent knowledge of construction detailing
  • experienced in the use of Revit for the purposes of setting team work flows, monitoring progress and controlling team outputs
  • experienced in leading teams and assisting in coordinating complex workflows
  • be a strong communicator with solid experience of interfacing directly with clients and contractors
  • ability to problem solve and co-ordinate complex building solutions with external consultants
  • experience of resource planning and design fee calibration is valuable, but not essential as guidance would be provided
  • be a positive contributor to the team and practice, someone who can motivate and inspire others

We are committed to ensuring that all who join our team are nurtured, valued, and supported. To that end we offer excellent benefits including health insurance and life assurance, cycle to work scheme, monthly studio lunch, outreach opportunities, weekly Friday night drinks and a comprehensive CPD programme.

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work permanently in the UK and have fluent written and spoken English. Cowen+Partners is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage applications from all backgrounds.

Please submit your CV, portfolio and covering letter via the ‘apply for job’ button below – ensure that you reference senior associate in your application.

Unfortunately, due to the large volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted, and the interview process will be two stage – first stage will be by Teams, second stage, if successful, will be in person at our studio.
