Established in 2006, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is an international university located in Suzhou, China. The university was founded by Xi'an Jiaotong University China and the University of Liverpool UK and is China's first joint-venture university to offer both UK and Chinese accredited undergraduate degrees.

The university offers over 100 degree-programmes that are mostly taught in English, ranging from science, technology, engineering, architecture, planning and business. Today the school has over 1,000 academic staff and over 18,000 students representing over 90 nationalities.
