L'Observatoire International is an architectural lighting studio based in New York. The company was founded by French designer Hervé Descottes in 1993. The firm provides lighting design and art direction for cultural institutions, public spaces, hotels and restaurants, private residencies and commercial properties.
The practice is made up of over 30 design specialists, including lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers and artists. Past collaborations include Frank Gehry, Bjarke Ingels and Thomas Heatherwick.
