Deborah Berke Partners is hiring a senior professional to join its team in New York.
Deborah Berke Partners is an architecture and interior design practice that for over thirty years has made true-to-place projects around the country and the world. Over time, we have built a wide range of experience in projects for colleges and universities, cultural institutions, private residences, boutique hotels, office and multifamily developments, and buildings for mission-driven clients. The firm provides a full range of services, from master planning to architecture and interior design.
Deborah Berke Partners is seeking candidates with extensive experience on all phases of residential projects at a variety of scales. Qualified candidates will be either a Professional 2 designer with six to eight years of experience or a Senior professional design with eight to 13 years of experience.
Requirements:
- design, technical and project management experience at an architecture firm
- professional degree in architecture; licensure preferred but not required
- demonstrated excellence in an area of design or project delivery
- excellent graphic, communication and organizational skills
- good interpersonal skills, thrives in a collaborative environment and
understands the importance of supporting design team members - is active in the formulation and execution of corporate strategy
- provides leadership in office activities
- ability to plan time and resources necessary to balance tight project
deadlines - detail-oriented, accurate, and hands-on
- pro-active, self-disciplined, and confident in a fast-paced working
environment - demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,
InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); familiarity with Rhino and Revit desired - possess all legal permits and visas required to work in the U.S.
- fluency in written and spoken English
