ÉCAL is looking for a head of media and interaction design in Renens, Switzerland.

In order to take over leadership of its Media & Interaction Design (MID) bachelor programme from the current incumbent, ECAL is searching for the future head of its media and interaction design bachelor programme.
About ECAL:
Enjoying international renown and featuring regularly among the world’s top ten universities of art and design, ECAL is directed by Alexis Georgacopoulos. The school currently offers six bachelor programmes (fine arts, cinema, graphic design, industrial design, media and interaction design, photography), five master programmes (fine arts, film, product design, photography, type design) and two masters of advanced studies (MAS) in design for luxury and craftsmanship and in design research for digital innovation (with the EPFL+ECAL Lab). ECAL also offers a one-year foundation course to prepare students for entry into its various bachelor programmes.
Mission:
To deliver practical education in one or more modules of the media and interaction design bachelor programme. To ensure the management and organisation of the media and interaction design bachelor programme. To supervise and coordinate the teaching of media and interaction design courses. To integrate applied research and development projects, as well as commissions and service assignments as part of the education in media and interaction design.
Profile:
University of applied sciences (HES) or university training or an equivalent degree in fine arts and/or design; minimum five years’ practical experience in the field of media and interaction design; high-level creative activities and national renown in the field of media and interaction design, in-depth knowledge of the Swiss and international scene in the field of media and interaction design; outstanding interpersonal, management, organisational and communication skills; excellent oral and written command of French and English.
