Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, proactive and passionate architect/urban planner to contribute to our emerging Los Angeles studio.
This role will require you to have exceptional design, technical, communication, and management skills with a background in mid-large scale projects. As an architect/urban planner you will assist the project team during all phases of master planning and building design development. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting the urban design, site planning, and other project design details. You may take on project management responsibilities such as ensuring the highest quality standard and criteria of all design submissions, communicating with clients and consultants, and organizing the schedules of the project and the working team.
Desired skills and experience
We are looking for an architect/urban planning professional with six-eight years’ professional experience. The ideal candidate has strong front/end design, visualization, and presentation sensibilities. Experience in higher education campus planning and building design is required. Experience in large-scale public/cultural/transportation/transit projects is not required but preferred.
The ideal candidate has superb time management and communication skills, demonstrated proficiency in both architectural and master planning graphic presentation, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is desirable but not required.
The ability to build strong relationships across the practice is very important, to work collaboratively with a team, is a must.
Software knowledge requirements: Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS (desired)
