Mid-senior industrial designer
HOK Product Design is seeking a mid-senior industrial designer to join its studio in London and Los Angeles.
Full time consultant position in the London and Los Angeles studios:
HOK’s Product Design studio was set-up in LA eight years ago and has recently established a studio in London. With a growing portfolio of work in furniture and architecture-related systems, our design thinking fuses culture with market savvy, striving for innovation and relevance in today’s world. We are driven by inspiration and guided by research and analysis, to deliver ergonomics and beauty to the human experience.
We are looking for passionate and skilled product designers with experience in developing product through all phases of development. The ideal candidate will be a skilled visualizer and accomplished in CAD modelling capacities. We are seeking a person with sensitivity for form and knowledge of manufacturing principles to be involved in all aspects of design development and detail resolution.
The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with architects, interior designers, manufacturers and clients.
Requirements: degree in industrial design, product design or related field plus five+ years of experience in industrial and contract furniture design. Skills must include: 2D and 3D visualisation; hand and digital sketching; high-level proficiency in Rhino required or Solidworks; Keyshot 3D; 3DS Max; prototyping and model making;
