Marks Barfield Architects is currently looking for a senior architect/senior architectural assistant to join its London practice.
An award-winning entrepreneurial architectural practice is looking for a senior architect/senior architectural assistant, with a minimum of five years post university experience and three years minimum in the UK, to join their London-based studio. The role will include running the residential, interiors and atrium packages during the technical design and construction stages of a complex £40m project.
The ability to liaise with client, contractors and consultants needs to be demonstrated; together with the understanding of how the London Plan, the London Borough of Camden Local Development Framework Core strategy and the Camden Local Plan 2017 affects mixed development projects in London.
Excellent design skills demonstrating clear and concise technical detailing are required, with advanced knowledge in AutoCAD, Rhino3D, Vray, Revit, and BIM level two a necessity; together with the ability to train others Revit. An excellent understanding of UK building regulations and NBS specification writing is also required. Experience working on sustainable designs and expert 3D visualisation is of interest.
