Pirajean Lees is hiring an FF&E specifier with procurement knowledge to join its team in London.

We are looking for a full-time creative, qualified, and skilled FF&E specifier with previous strong experience in high-end UK studios, in residential and hospitality. Someone who shares our interest in materials and details, able to approach each project with a fresh perspective. You will join our creative team, to work on high-end restaurants and private residential projects internationally.

 The responsibilities will include
 
Specifying:

  • create, develop, manage, and lead FF&E projects from conception to completion, collaborating with the project team, including the project managers and studio co-founders
  • generate ideas and concept development
  • ensure integration of FF&E within the interior design scheme through FF&E CAD layouts
  • source new items and vintage pieces
  • design, develop and draw bespoke pieces
  • coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and purchasing agents
  • research and sourcing references, materials, finishes, fabrics
  • research new suppliers and manufacturers
  • prepare full FF&E cost estimates and being responsible for project budgets
  • review shop drawings, samples, and prototypes
  • prepare and attend client presentations
  • prepare specification sheets, schedules, costs
  • assist during delivery, installation, and handover
  • opportunity to research and design for Pirajean Lees Editions

Procurement:

  • lead multiple projects simultaneously and take ownership from initial costing to project completion
  • tender and analyse bespoke specification packages to select the most suitable
  • obtaining and negotiating quotations/proformas/invoices
  • raise and monitor purchase orders and payments in line with project requirement
  • cross referencing item inventories
  • resolving any discrepancies with suppliers in a timely manner including logistics, snagging and financial
  • understanding and proactively working to project programmes to ensure seamless execution
  • monitoring and updating delivery schedules and installation programmes
  • ensuring supplier contracts, T&C’s and any other documentation is in line with company standards and that suppliers continually adhere to these terms
  • building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing suppliers

The candidates should have the following experience (essential):

  • degree in interior design, furniture design or similar (BA minimum)
  • five plus proven years’ experience in FF&E, including two plus years’ in a similar position
  • previous employment at a high-end UK based practice
  • procurement management experience

Required skills:

  • able to work within a team and independently, to tight deadlines

Must be fluent in: 

  • hand sketching
  • 2D: AutoCAD
  • Photoshop and InDesign
  • EstiMac (essential)
  • Word and Excel
  • Professional English, French-speaking is a bonus
