Catto & Co is a London-based, turn-key Design & Build firm that specialises in delivering excellent architectural and interior design, efficient project management and high quality construction.

Job role
As an architectural technician at Catto & Co, you will play a pivotal role in developing the technical design of varying scales of residential projects. While the role will focus primarily on the production of accurate construction drawings, there will be opportunities to be involved in all aspects of the design and construction process; from concept design and planning through to liaison with the construction team on site.
At Catto & Co we foster a collaborative studio environment, where you will be an integral part of a talented team. This team extends beyond the office and part of your responsibility is liaising with designers, contractors, manufacturers and other professionals to ensure that our projects come to life seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- develop the technical design packages for residential projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations and design standards
- create technical drawings including spatial planning, furnishing layouts and detailed elevations to design intent level
- produce accurate construction drawings consisting of plans, sections, elevations, construction details, and schedules
- work closely with project managers to facilitate a smooth construction process; providing technical support and resolving design or construction issues
- maintain an in-depth knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and modern construction methodology
- produce interior elevations showing finishes, fittings, and key details
- prepare lighting and electrical drawings showing fixture layouts, switching, and power requirements
Skills and attributes:
- you should be an architectural technician with two years’ experience in the UK residential sector
- you must be proficient in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of the technical aspects of design
- you are detail-oriented and passionate about delivering high-quality, bespoke residential spaces
- knowledgeable about current building legislation and modern methods of construction
- a keen problem-solver with the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- fluent in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- three-month probation period required to make sure that you are a good fit for us, and vice versa
- salary dependant on experience within the industry
- regular working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm. Flexible working possible.
