Business development and marketing coordinator
at Holland Harvey Architects

Holland Harvey Architects is seeking a business development and marketing coordinator to join its studio in London.

About us

Holland Harvey was founded on the belief that design should make a positive social and environmental impact.

The architecture and interior design studio creates spaces that celebrate the everyday, with an ethical approach that ensures each project tells a story. Based in east London, the Certified B Corporation operates globally to deliver brand-led residential and hospitality projects for aspirational clients worldwide.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and strategic business development and marketing coordinator to help elevate our profile and support the continued growth of the studio.

About the role

The business development and marketing coordinator supports the directors and associate director (operations) in delivering the practice’s business development and marketing strategy — a role focused on growth for both the studio and the individual. This role is suited to someone who enjoys writing, organising, and helping to bring ideas to life.

As this is a new role within the practice, the position will be varied and evolving — offering the opportunity to help shape systems and processes that support business development, marketing, and client engagement. You will assist with fee proposals, maintain credentials and marketing materials, coordinate press, awards, and event activities, and help implement tools such as the studio’s CRM system.

The role combines creative communication with strong organisational skills – ensuring the practice’s work and values are presented clearly and consistently to clients, collaborators, and the wider public. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone ambitious, proactive, and detail-focused who is looking to grow with a design-led practice.

Responsibilities

As business development and marketing coordinator, you will:

  • prepare and coordinate fee proposals and bid submissions, working closely with the directors
  • maintain and develop the practice’s portfolio, credentials documents, and teams CVs
  • support the directors in executing the marketing strategy, including CRM management and client research
  • coordinate press releases and award submissions, liaising with journalists, photographers and publications where relevant
  • assist in planning and attending industry events, supporting networking and relationship-building opportunities
  • manage updates to the website and social media platforms
  • write engaging copy for proposals, profiles, and digital communications
  • ensure client and project data is accurately recorded and maintained
  • help refine templates, systems, and processes to improve efficiency in business development and marketing activities

What we offer

At Holland Harvey, our culture is centred on people and our community. We provide a supportive and creative environment where your contributions will directly shape how the practice is seen and experienced externally.

We offer:

  • a creative, friendly, and collaborative working environment
  • the opportunity to work closely with the directors and associate director (operations) on shaping and executing the practice’s business development and marketing strategy
  • exposure to a diverse portfolio of architectural projects and the chance to build deep knowledge of our clients and sectors
  • scope to attend events, contribute ideas, and take ownership of marketing initiatives
  • regular team social events and an engaging studio culture
  • working from home policy – work from home for as many days per week as you like except for Mondays
  • working away from home policy – opportunity to work away from home, including abroad
  • flexible start and finish times (core hours 10am to 4pm)
    closed during Christmas period
  • bike2work scheme (eligible after probation period)
techscheme – opportunity to buy tech getting a 3 per cent to 13 per cent discount and spread costs over 12 months
  • extended leave as a reward for long service
  • studio lunch once a month on a Friday to enjoy each others company and catch up (cooked by members of the studio and subsidised by holland harvey)
  • RIBA pension scheme
  • opportunity to be involved in mentorship work experience with local schools through Hackney Council

About you

We’re looking for an organised, confident, and proactive communicator who can combine creative storytelling with operational efficiency.

You should:

  • bring either a relevant degree (for example in marketing, communications, or a related field) or equivalent practical experience gained through work in business development, marketing, or communications — ideally within architecture, creative or design-related environment
  • be a strong writer with excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
  • be organised, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • have experience in preparing proposals, bids, or marketing collateral
  • be confident in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • have good knowledge of Adobe and or Affinity
  • enjoy building relationships and representing the practice at events and networking opportunities
