Role overview

We are looking for a driven, newly qualified architect (Part 3) with a minimum of two years’ post-Part 2 experience in a UK practice to join our London studio.

The core project for this role is the restoration and extension of a historic home in Oxfordshire, a sensitive contemporary restoration of a private residential property that requires craft, care, and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on role working closely with the managing director, offering the opportunity to lead a project through all stages with a strong focus on design quality and contextual sensitivity.

Alongside this, you’ll contribute to the design development and delivery of a number of restaurant projects across London, ranging in scale from small interventions to larger rollouts. These projects offer a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities to develop technical and detailing skills within a supported structure.

The role offers exposure to a diverse and evolving portfolio, primarily within the residential and hospitality sectors. It’s a strong opportunity for a newly qualified architect looking to take ownership of meaningful work while growing alongside an engaged and design-led studio.

Key responsibilities:

  • develop detailed design packages for new build, restoration, and extension projects
  • contribute to concept design packages, working in both 2D and 3D
  • deliver interior architectural packages, including material palette studies and detailed specification of finishes
  • coordinate with consultants and communicate with clients throughout all project stages
  • attend site meetings, support inspections, and assist with monitoring construction progress
  • contribute to internal design reviews, working collaboratively to uphold design quality across all stages
  • support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of shared learning and professional development
  • participate in the development of proposals and presentations for new and existing clients where required

Essential skills:

  • ARB-registered with full RIBA Part 3 qualifications
  • a minimum of two years’ post-Part 2 experience within a UK architectural practice
  • strong technical background, with experience delivering complex residential or retrofit projects across RIBA Stages 3–5
  • demonstrable experience working on site, including direct engagement with contractors, resolving construction queries, and attending inspections
  • excellent communication skills, with experience working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • proficiency in AutoCad, Sketchup and Enscape
  • a rigorous approach to technical detailing and quality assurance
  • interest in well-crafted interior architecture and thoughtful materiality
  • passion for design, with an active interest in contributing to the wider architectural conversation of the studio, including design reviews, research, and events
  • comfortable managing multiple workstreams and responding flexibly to evolving project needs
  • a proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to practice-wide dialogue and design development
  • experience in the hospitality sector is a plus, particularly in delivering well-resolved interior architecture and guest-focused design
