Part 2 architectural assistant
at Watershedd
Watershedd is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its collaborative studio in London.
Watershedd is a design led architecture and interior design practice working on high end new build houses and refurbishments for coastal and country homes across London, Cornwall and the wider UK. We are a small, close knit studio and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to support the team across a range of residential projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their design and technical skills within a supportive environment, with encouragement and guidance towards Part 3 at the appropriate time.
Responsibilities:
- assisting the team with concept design, design development and technical packages
- producing drawings for planning applications and tender information
- preparing design presentations, mood boards and visual material for client meetings
- assisting with 3D modelling and visualisation work
- liaising with consultants including structural and mechanical engineers
- attending site meetings and assisting with on site queries when required
Skills and experience:
- strong design ability with a portfolio demonstrating high quality residential work
- good technical understanding appropriate to Part 2 level, with an interest in developing detailed construction knowledge ability to work across multiple projects in a well organised and methodical way
- confident communicator with a positive and collaborative approach
self motivated with a genuine interest in learning and professional development - proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
experience with a CAD package, preferably Vectorworks, or a willingness to learn
Essential:
- Part 2 qualified or equivalent
- eligibility to work in the UK
- good written and spoken English
