IID Architects is seeking an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or recently qualified architect to join its studio in London.
This is an opportunity to work on education and community projects in the UK, contributing to design and delivery across planning, tender and construction stages, with increasing responsibility depending on experience.

The role
You will work as part of a close-knit team on UK projects, helping to develop designs and coordinate information through a range of work stages. Depending on experience, the role may include project-running responsibilities, consultant coordination, client communication and the preparation of drawing packages in Revit for planning, tender and construction.
Essential skills and experience
- proficiency in Revit
- RIBA Part 2 qualification; Part 3-qualified architects are also welcome to apply
- experience working on projects in the UK
- experience preparing drawing information for planning, tender and construction stages
- knowledge of UK building regulations and construction
- strong design ability and visual communication skills
- excellent verbal, written and coordination skills
- right to work in the UK
Desirable
- experience in education and/or community projects
- experience contributing to project running or day-to-day coordination
For those interested in pursuing Part 3, we offer strong in-house support. We have an experienced Part 3 tutor in the office and currently have an assistant completing their professional practice with us. In accordance with RIBA recommendations, we offer ten days’ paid study leave in addition to annual leave for course attendance, study and examinations, together with mentoring support within the practice.
The role is full-time and predominantly studio-based in Richmond upon Thames. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
