at CAN

CAN is hiring an architect to join its team in London.

CAN is looking for an architect with one to two years’ of project running experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in private residential projects through all RIBA stages and should have a keen interest across the creative spectrum with an open mind to working on a variety of creative projects including public art, exhibition design and workplace design. The role requires an individual who is pro-active and comfortable adding to the creative discussions in the studio.

We’d love to hear from anyone who thinks this is for them but please consider the essential requirements listed below.

Essential requirements:

  • private residential project running experience (one–two years)
  • strong visual and graphic presentation skills
  • experienced in AutoCAD and SketchUp (or similar CAD software – please list on CV)
  • experienced in Adobe Suite
  • experienced in stage 4 technical detailing
  • ability to take initiative and work autonomously
  • strong design skills
  • have the Right to Work in the UK
  • confident in dealing with contractors/consultants

Favourable requirements:

  • experience in Rhino
  • experience in Enscape, V-Ray or other rendering software

Particulars:

  • contract type: fixed term contract – maternity cover
  • contract length : nine months
  • start date: January 2027
  • salary: in the region of £40k pro rata; dependent on experience
  • location: CAN Studio in Catford, London. SE6 4RU
  • working arrangement: full time role (37.5hrs/week) with flexible working arrangements considered
  • no unpaid overtime
