Ash Sakula is recruiting a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its practice in London.
Award-winning architectural practice Ash Sakula are currently looking for a Part 1 architectural assistant with huge enthusiasm, talent and wide ranging presentation skills to assist with our work in the housing, the arts and people-centred neighbourhoods.
Attributes:
- actively working on your own design opinions, fed by visiting, reading, and research
- able to enthusiastically present ideas as they emerge to clients, collaborators and non-professionals
- avaricious in acquiring new digital tools and keen to develop traditional hand skills
- a design portfolio that still excites you and demonstrates a strong tectonic understanding and social ethos in architecture
Essential skills:
- PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, and SketchUp
- Vectorworks 2D and 3D BIM some training will be given but self-initiated online learning is essential
- hand drawing as a normal part of your design flow
- a professional attitude to time management and delivery
- interest and intuition for websites, social media and databases in the practice
