Design project manager

David Gill Gallery is seeking a design project manager to join its team in London.
Person/experience required:
Experience gained in the luxury furniture sector
The successful candidate will have gained experience working at the highest level of furniture design. They will understand the level of detail and accuracy involved in the successful creation of David Gill Gallery works.
Strong design background:
- the use of CAD to communicate design intent, both technical production drawings and client friendly visuals
- practical design skills including design history
- proficient in Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Suite
Strong project management skills:
- to generate a clear production plan, to communicate progression and projected completion dates to all stakeholders within a project
- strong administration skills and experience with a CRM database
- the ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously
- meticulous attention to detail, dimensions and finishes
- issuing purchase orders to suppliers and tracking incoming invoices
- material sample documentation
Manufacturing and production – understanding a range of manufacturing processes:
- fabrication
- engineering processes
- metal casting – Bronze
- molding GRP
- traditional woodworking techniques
- upholstery
Team player
The successful candidate will be a key member of a small but growing production team:
- great personality with excellent communication skills (using specialist and non-specialist language)
- ability to work with multiple members in a team across different manufacturers and projects
- diplomatic and thoughtful approach to talking to the represented artists of the gallery
Languages (preferred but not essential): French, Italian
The successful candidate will be responsible for projects throughout Europe.
