Gachot Studios is looking for a bookkeeper and HR manager to join its office in New York, USA.
Gachot Studios is seeking a highly motivated bookkeeper/HR manager with seven-ten years’ experience in the field and at least three to five years’ experience in the interior design business specifically. The position will be in charge of all data entry and processing for the company’s operating accounts and client purchase books, coordinating closely with the studio director and principals on bi-weekly planning, budgeting, and financial milestones. The position will also interface with the company’s external accountant as well as HR counsel as required. Knowledge of Studio Webware and Quickbooks is required.
Responsibilities include…
General:
- posting bank account and credit card activity
- reconciliation of all bank accounts
- posing journal entries
- production of financial and other reports
HR:
- processing of on-boarding documentation and payroll for all employees
- tracking of PTO and sick leave for all employees
- organization and resolution of any employee HR matters with principals
AR and AP:
- creation of fee invoices for approval
- reminders for overdue invoices
- collection and review of employee billable hours
- payment of operating expense vendors
Reimbursable expenses:
- collection and enforcement of expense reports from employees
- review and recategorization of operating expenses to reimbursable
- creation of reimbursable invoices for approval
Purchasing:
- processing of purchase orders and vendor payments
- record keeping and payment of sales tax
- consolidation of studio totals into Quickbooks
Revenue management:
- update and circulate cash reports
- processing payments and any draws
Taxes:
- accounting corrections and finalization of annual financials
- entry of general ledger adjustments
- review and verification of draft tax returns
