Furniture product designer
at CDS
CDS is seeking a furniture/product designer to join its design team in London.
The architectural design team require support in creating bespoke products and installations designed in response to specific building projects and client requirements.
Role responsibilities include:
- developing new design proposals for one-off pieces and furniture installations based on creative workshops with the client
- creating hand sketches, technical drawings, graphics, CAD and 3D modelling software
- working with the architect team to deliver the projects successfully and within programme
Required skillset:
- a strong creative mind and strong communication skills
- experience with Rhino and 3ds Max and AutoCAD
- experience with CNC and 3D printing
- good hand sketching skills
The candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent design skills and enthusiasm to be part of a diverse team of designers and builders. The focus is on making the designs a reality via our network of suppliers and crafts people.
Candidates to be recently graduated with a diploma or degree in furniture/product design or a similar field.
