Paul Cocksedge Studio is hiring a designer/visualiser to join its firm in London.
Paul Cocksedge Studio is an internationally acclaimed design practice notable for the design of high-end products, site-specific installations, and public interventions. At the heart of our work is the exploration of the limits of technology to create unique and surprising design experiences.
We undertake art and design commissions and consultancy work for a wide range of companies and sectors, with a diverse catalogue of high-profile clients encompassing luxury fashion labels, exclusive interiors manufacturers and major cultural institutions.
The role
We are now seeking candidates for the position of Designer/Visualiser to work closely with the creative director on new and exciting projects on a regular basis. We are looking for an expert and fast Visualiser, who can produce geometric drawings, photorealistic renderings, and animations. We are looking for a candidate, who would thrive in a fast pace work environment.
Requirements:
- the position requires candidates with at least five years’ experience
- conceptual understanding and an ability to illustrate using various software packages required. Advanced knowledge of 3D Studio Max, Corona rendering, and Creative Adobe Suite is essential. AutoCAD, Rhino, and Solidworks a bonus
- ability to render excellent images and animations: from small scale objects to large scale, ie. architectural buildings, exteriors and interiors
- an excellent sense of colour and finishes; proven abilities to produce complex geometrics, manipulate lighting and texture, material creation, etc.
- must be able to read technical drawings, understand perspective and proportions, and have the ability to manipulate them
- attention to detail is essential
- good communication and time-management skills are essential
- ability to work on high-pressure projects and meet tight deadlines
