Studio manager

StudioXAG is looking for a studio manager to become part of its London-based team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised and friendly studio manager to join our team in east London.
At StudioXAG, we specialise in creative direction, design and fabrication for retail environments. With projects ranging from show-stopping bespoke installations and pop-up shops to global window roll-outs, we take pride in executing all of our work to the highest standard.
Our suitable candidate would be joining a medium-sized team in a challenging, exciting and creative environment. You will have an integral role in the running of the studio, and your duties will vary from marketing and finance to logistics and recruitment.
Responsibilities would include:
- being the studio’s front-of-house – answering the telephones, taking deliveries and welcoming guests
- finance – managing project billing and expenses, alongside assisting our accountants with any queries
- recruitment – creating advertisements, posting to jobs boards, liaising with recruitment agencies and filtering CVs for review
- HR and administration – on-boarding new starters, contracts, NDA’s, and keeping our HR base up to date
- managing calendars – taking care of the studio calendar, timesheets and company-wide meetings
- IT support and troubleshooting
- ordering and maintenance of office supplies, from stationary to the weekly food shop
- assisting with logistics on projects – arranging couriers and deliveries and booking travel
- organising team events including seasonal parties and workshops
- PA duties to the two directors when required
Our ideal studio manager must have:
- a minimum of two years’ previous managing a creative studio/agency
- excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Creative Suite would also be beneficial
- a professional demeanour, with the willingness to adapt and take on new responsibilities
- organised and methodical with high attention to detail and time management skills
- previous experience using Synergist software would be a bonus
Salary: dependant on experience
Contract: full-time position to start end of July
