OMA is looking for an experienced recruiter who is able to work both independently and within a team.

The HR department for OMA’s international operations is located in Rotterdam. The HR team is responsible for recruitment, arranging and coordinating all employee benefits, salary administration, expatriate immigration and relocation procedures, as well as health and safety policies. All HR and recruitment activities for OMA’s worldwide operations are coordinated by the team in Rotterdam.

In this position, your main responsibilities will be to facilitate and coordinate our global recruitment processes. The recruiter is responsible for the full range of recruitment and talent acquisition processes for all of OMA’s offices. In addition to this, the candidate will support the rest of the team with other HR tasks and processes.

OMA works with talented designers, researchers, architects, CAD and model builders, all of whom collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for recruiting the most talented resources on all levels, from new graduates and students through to experienced and specialised staff. The recruiter should have experience engaging with various recruitment tools, including online advertising, social media, scouting at universities, and strategically using their network. In addition to this, the ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience with the latest trends in recruitment globally.

The recruiter works as an integrated part of the HR team and will report directly to the senior HR manager.

This is a full-time position based in Rotterdam.

Responsibilities:

  • coordinate the recruitment processes for all OMA’s offices, and closely collaborate with recruitment teams based in various international locations
  • work closely with the chef de bureau and senior HR manager to follow and forecast the recruitment needs of all offices
  • advise on recruitment strategies and actions to best align recruitment activities with current staffing needs
  • prepare and administer vacancies and online postings
  • pro-active recruiting and head-hunting for specific positions
  • assess applications and pre-screen candidates for the recruitment team
  • give recommendations on job offers
  • assist with immigration processes and onboarding of new hires
  • assist the HR team and senior HR manger with other HR processes

Requirements:

  • bachelor degree in HR management or equivalent
  • three to five years’ recruitment experience in an international office, preferably in architecture or a related field
  • working knowledge of immigration processes, to facilitate internationally oriented recruitment needs
  • experience and/or working knowledge of Taleo (Oracle) or other ATS
  • experience working with Microsoft office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • excellent command of English (Dutch and other languages are a strong asset)
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven ability to build and maintain excellent internal and external relations
  • accurate, proactive, detail-oriented and self-disciplined
  • able to process information in a discreet manner
  • accountable and trustworthy
  • hands-on approach with team spirit
  • affinity with architecture and art is important

The selected candidate is expected to start in August/September 2019.

Candidates who are already eligible to work in The Netherlands are preferred.
