Design Squared is seeking a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its firm in London.
Design Squared is a small, close-knit architecture practice in London working primarily in the residential and commercial sectors throughout the UK. Established in 2007, the practice has successfully completed over eight hundred building projects and has developed an extensive portfolio.
At Design Squared we undertake a broad spectrum of architectural projects, managing the design process from concept through to completion. We offer a range of complementary services, including party wall surveying, 3D modelling and contract administration.
We are looking for a talented Part 1 architectural assistant to join our team, who will work on a wide variety of residential projects from one-off bespoke houses to residential refurbishment, as well as commercial spaces.
Your roles will include, but not be limited to:
- measured surveys
- design in both 2D/3D
- assisting with presentations to clients
- submitting planning applications
- getting involved at various design stages – concept, planning and technical
- assisting senior members of the team to construct tender packages
- attending site visits when necessary
Our ideal candidate will be competent in Microstation, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop. Full training will be provided if you do not have experience with these CAD packages. They will be a team player but also be able to work with self-drive and strong initiative. The right candidate will have the ability to multi-task, prioritise their workload and meet tight deadlines when required.
